CAT 2021 Application Form 2021 is released on the official website www.iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2021 Exam will be held on 28th November 2021. Candidates can apply soon to avoid any last-minute hassle. This is a national-level exam held in 425 test centers across 158 cities in India. The exam will be held for two hours in CBT (computer Based Test) mode.

CAT 2021 Registration has begun on 4th August 2021 and the last date to apply is 15th September 2021. There are slight changes done in CAT 2021 this year which are –

• Eligibility criteria of minimum marks have been relaxed due to COVID 19 this year. One can mention promotion/pass in CAT 2021 Application form 2021. This relaxation is given only for the candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree in 2021-22.
• CAT Application Fees 2021 has been increased by 10% from INR 2000 to INR 2,200 for general candidates.
• For reserved candidates, it has been increased from INR 1000 to INR 1,100
• Number of cities has been increased from 156 to 158 this year.
• The increased number of test cities has lead to an increased number of test centres. This will help the reachability during COVID 19 situation.

What is CAT 2021?

Common Aptitude Test or CAT 2021 is a national level exam that is the gateway of admission to management and business courses in 20 IIMS and over 1200 B schools in India. The difficulty level of the paper is from moderate to High with negative marking. CAT 2021 consists of MCQs and NON-MCQs from Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.  

CAT Exam Pattern 2021 has been revised due to COVID 19 pandemic. The duration of the exam has been reduced from three to two hours and the total number of questions has been reduced from 100 to 76. There will be no change in the CATE EXAM 2021 structure and CAT syllabus 2021.

Students can go through the test eligibility criteria to apply and avoid any kind of rejections –

• Applicants must be graduates with a minimum of 50% marks or a valid CGPA(45% aggregate for SC/Stand PWD/DA category from a recognized university or institute.
• Candidates waiting for the result 2021 of their graduation can also apply.
• There is no reservation for CAT 2021 exam.

Reservation for IIMS and MBA Admissions

1. 15% of seats are reserved for reserved candidates (SC) and 7.5 %seats are reserved for ST candidates.
2. 27% of seats are reserved for other backward classes (OBCS) and non-creamy layers of NC-OBC.
3. 10% seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections
4. A person with 40% disability can apply such as  –
5. Blindness and low vision.
6. Deaf and Hard of hearing.
7. Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid attack victim, and muscular dystrophy.
8. Autism, Intellectual Disability, specific learning disability and mental illness.
9. Other mentioned disabilities mentioned ‘The Schedule ‘of the RPwD Act 2021.

CAT Exam 2021 Application Process

CAT Exam 2021 Registration process will start from August first week. CAT Application Form is available on the official website that will be available till 15th September 2021. For CAT registration 2021 follows the mentioned steps below –

• Visit the official websitewww.iimcat.ac.in
• Create a login ID by entering details like name, date of birth, email, and phone number.
• Then click on "Generate OTP".
• Once you are registered, OTYP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• Verify the OTP and log in again.’
• You have to fill in all the information asked like work experience, personal details, academic details, etc.
• Upload the scanned documents like signatures and photographs.
• Select the test city and IIM Campus for writing ability test and personal interview shortlisting.
• The last step is to make the CAT Application fee through a credit/debit card.
• Keep the receipt/filled application printout for further process.

CAT Exam Pattern 2021

CAT question paper is divided into three parts –Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension,DataInterpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. The question paper will be in both MCQs and NON -MCQs. The question level is moderate to difficult as per the sections with quantitative aptitude making it more challenging. CAT Question/Sample Papers 2021

CAT Exam 2021 is considered one of the toughest papers for MBA admission. Clearing this exam will get you admission to IIMS or top to grade business schools of India. Cat result will be declared in January tentatively on the 5th of January 2022. You can download the CAT 2021 scorecard from the official website only online mode. You can download it by clicking CAT 2021 Scorecard download through your CAT login ID and password. The result will be displayed and you can check your score easily.

 CAT Cut off 2021

CAT Cut off for IIMS usually go from 99 to 100 percentile for the general category and between 95 to 98 % for the reserved category. The cut off for MBA admission in top colleges ranges from 95 to 99 percentile. It is to be noted that IIM does not release CAT cut off publically. The cut off can be accessed through the login account of the candidate. The cut-off for IIM Ahemdabad is 99+ and the cut-off for other B -Grade colleges in India is 90 percentile. The cut off is generally formed based on the difficulty level of cat exam 2021, the number of seats and the all India ranking of the institute.
