Note – The college fees vary from course to course and college to college.
We have always found that during the admissions parents/guardian have many questions like what is the cost of course. What are the payment methods are there any instalments or not and so on. These questions are obvious when it comes to depositing fees. So it is important to know that fees vary from college to college. It totally depends on the ranking and reputation of the college. For e.g. Garden City College at Bangalore hotel management course fees is around 3,50,000 for a three-year graduate course, in the same city, Christ College students have to pay 4,80,000 per semester for 4 years. On the other hand the hotel management course in IHM, Chennai can cost INR 37,500 per semester. The fee also depends on the type of facilities that the institute is offering.
It is to be noted that fees of government colleges are less than that of a private college. Students who are not willing to shell a big amount on the course from a private hotel management institute can go for government colleges of hotel management.
Many hotel management colleges whether private or government offer a merit-based concession on fees to the eligible candidate. Some institute also offers a discount to sponsored candidates who have joined a course. Junior Research Fellowship is also offered to the students who are willing to be part of academics. Some colleges also provide loan on a low-interest rate from nationalized banks like Allahabad Bank, Bank of Baroda, PNB, IDBI etc. Students of all hotel management institutes which are affiliated to AICTE are eligible to get a loan of INR 7.50 lakh in India and INR 15 lakh to study outside India. The low-interest-rate of education can be repaid in 5 to 7 years of duration with an instalment system.
