About JIPMER PG Medical Exam

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research known as JIPMER PG 2023 is an entrance exam for master’s medical courses in various campuses of JIPMER. The participating campuses are AIIMS-New Delhi and all-new AIIMS, JIPMERPuducherry, PGIMER-Chandigarh and NIMHANS-Bangalore. Last year there were around 125 seats in Masters in Surgery, Doctor of Medicine (MD), and two for Master of Dental Sciences seats (MDS) in the Puducherry campus. A total of 9,885 candidates appeared, out of which 5427 candidates qualified for JIPMER 2023.

JIPMER PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In this, we have mentioned the eligibility criteria for JIPMER. Before applying, make sure you check the eligibility criteria to avoid any cancellations. The eligibility criteria for JIPMER PG 2023 are as follows –

• Nationality f– For MD/MS course applicants must be Indian nationals or overseas citizens of India or Foreign Nationals.
• For the MDS course candidates must be Indian nationals or overseas citizens of India.
• Qualifying examination for MD/MS – Applicants must have an MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by the medical council of India.
• If you are applying for MDS then you should have BDS or equivalent degree approved by DCI.
• Candidates who come in general /OBC/OCI/EWS /Sponsored /Foreign national category, must have scored a minimum of 55% marks.
• If you are from SC/ST category, you must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in total.
• Candidates must have completed 12 months of compulsory training on or before 30th June 2023.

• Candidates have to apply for JPIMER Application Process 2023 through online mode only.
• The application for the January session will be starting from 29th September 2023.
• Candidates have to upload the scanned photograph and signature.
• One have to take out the printout of the application and keep it for further processing.

• Now click on” Apply online – MD/MS/MDS admission –January/July session.
  
• Then register yourself by providing information like email ID, name, mobile number etc.
  
• After the registration, you will be sent a login credential to your registered email ID.
  
• Now click to login and enter login details i.e. application number and your password.
  
• Fill the form carefully with all the details like parents name, address, qualification, exam city preference etc.
  
• Click the “Submit and proceed” button.
  
• Upload the signature and your recent size photograph.
  
• Your photograph should be between 20kb to 200 kb and your signature should be between 80 widths with the height of X 35 mm and size, not more than 200kb.
  
• Students can make the payment online through debit/credit and net banking.
  
• Candidates must recheck all the details before submitting the form.
  
• Take the printout of the application form for future reference.

Candidates can go through the JPIMER PG Medical Entrance exam pattern and prepare accordingly.

• Mode – conducted in CBT i.e. online mode.
• Duration of the exam is – 3 hours for MD/MS course and 1 hour 30 minutes for MDS course.
• Language – mode of language will be English.
• Number of questions – 250 for MD/MS and 100 for MDS.
