PGIMER Nursing Entrance Exam 2023– Overview

PGIMER BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 is given just after the 12^th if you are interested in Nursing. Similarly, PGIMER MSc Nursing Entrance exam 2023 is given after the UG course in Nursing. Both exams are conducted once a year in July. The admission will be offered based on the score of PGIMER Nursing 2023. There are limited numbers of seats approx. 93 to 96 seats are reserved for B.Sc. Nursing, 62 to 64 seats are reserved for B.Sc. Post Basic nursing and 31 seats are reserved for M.Sc. Nursing. This also includes the reservation seats according to the Indian government of India as per the rule of the Supreme Court of India. The exam will be conducted online with multiple choice questions and is for 90 minutes (Hour and half).

• Only female candidates can apply for PGIMER B.Sc. nursing.
• The applicants should clear the 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as their main subjects with a minimum 50% marks aggregate.
• Students who are appearing for an intermediate exam in April/May 2023 are also eligible to apply.
• The maximum age for applying is 25 years of age and the minimum age application age is 17 years.
• Candidates who are below 17 years of age are not eligible to apply.

PGIMER BSc Nursing (Post Basic)

• The aspirant should who have cleared 12 examination or equivalent exam.
• The applicants should have completed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma scoring minimum 50% marks.
• Applicants must be having a minimum of three years of working experience in nursing or public health nursing with central /state recognized hospital or institute.
• The maximum applying age should not be more than 45 years.

PGIMER M.Sc. Nursing

• Applicants must be having a degree of BSc Nursing/Post Basic Nursing from a recognized college or university approved by Indian Nursing Council and PGIMER, Chandigarh.
• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55 % marks in their undergraduate.
• Candidates must have a minimum of one year of working experience with a private or public hospital of a minimum of 100 bedding (if it is private) or Public Health Nursing or any Nursing Educational Institute which is approved by Indian Nursing Council.
• The candidates must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM).
