Post Matric Scholarship 2023 has been introduced by the Govt of India for emphasizing the education of every backward section of society. This scholarship enables the students of SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ EBC/ Disabled/ Minority backgrounds to proceed with their education at post matriculation or post-secondary stage. Post matric scholarship scheme meant to financially support those candidates who are studying at post matriculation or post-secondary level. The objective is to offer the scholarship to those students who are not able to afford their studies and are capable to achieve their dreams.
For the upliftment of literacy level and education rate among the minority students studying in class 11th, 12th, or any graduation program, the government of India has initiated this Post Matric Intermediate Scholarship. This step aims to provide monetary financial support to each minority student. An uncountable number of students couldn't be able to afford their education expenses, which result in dropouts and a reduction of the literacy level of our nation. This initiative under the Ministry of Minority Affairs will make the families of minority students capable of letting their children have the education and opportunities they deserve.

Under the post-matric scholarship schemes for minorities the Govt. provides financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to economically weak sections so that they can continue their higher education and can create employment for themselves. The scholarship is awarded for studies India in recognized Govt/private higher secondary school/college/ university that will also include a residential institute run by the government and private institute selected and approved by State Government / Union Territory administration.
The scholarship covers vocational training of classes XI and XII including polytechnic courses. Any course less than one year is not covered under this scheme. As there are different schemes under post-matric scholarship, the interested candidates can read this article at the end.

University Grants Commission invites students of the SC category who are doing M.Phil/ Ph.D. for UGC National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC). The selection will be done on the basis of the score of the UGC-NET-JRF or CSIR –NET-JRF examination. The selected candidates will be given a fellowship amount per month and a contingency grant as well.
