It is applicable under different sections offering financial assistance to deserving and needy applicants. The objective of these different scholarships is to provide financial support to category candidates that can be SC/ ST/ OBC/ EBC/ BC/ minority etc. Also, the schemes are open for general category students under certain terms and conditions. Department of Ex-Service Men Welfare (DSEW) invites all eligible students to apply for the P.M Modi Scholarship under PMSS DESW. The scholarship is to pursue their higher studies like degree diploma courses. This scheme is only for the children of Ex-Servicemen of the country. This is the central scholarship scheme which is not for other Central Govt. Employee children. The application will now start for the year 2022 only for the children of Ex-servicemen whose family income is less than 6 lakh PA. The scholarship's main aim is to offer financial support to students who cannot afford their studies. This will help them to pursue their education without any hurdles.

A student fulfilling all the below-mentioned criteria is eligible to apply for this scheme.

For students completing a Diploma or Graduation course in 2025-2026.
Must have scored at least 60% in Class 12th, Graduation, or Diploma.
Open to dependent wards or widows of Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Coast Guard personnel who died or were disabled in service.
Not for dependents of Para-Military personnel.
Must be pursuing a full-time course in India (not distance learning or abroad).
Students with secondary income or jobs are not eligible.
Master’s degree students are not eligible.
Applicants cannot earn a salary during their course.
The family’s annual income must be less than Rs. 6 lakhs.
The age limit of the candidate is 16-25 years.
Students pursuing their regular courses are eligible for this scheme.
This scholarship is applicable for pursuing only one course, application for multiple courses would be considered invalid.

Students who will be Selected for desw gov in scholarship Rewards students will enjoy the following rewards:

The candidates who have passed 12th with a minimum of 75% marks will get a scholarship reward of INR 1000 per month.
Students who have scored 85% marks in 12th will get the scholarship of INR 25,000 PA
Students doing 4 to 5 years professional course will get a scholarship amount of INR 2000 PA
Renewal of the scholarship will be done by submitting bonafide to the DESW board on given dates for boys and girls

Visit theKSB website
Register for an account
Fill in the application form
Complete Part 1 with personal and ESM details like name, service number, and date of discharge or death.
Complete Part 2 with address and bank details, ensuring the account is linked to your Aadhar.
Review all details
submit the form.
Take a printout and visit the Zilla Sainik Board for document verification.
Verified applications are sent to the Rajya Sainik Board and then to the KSB for final approval.
If approved, funds are credited within 2 months.
Log in to the KSB website to track your application status.

The application form for the PM Scholarship is divided into 2 parts. In the first part, you have to mention your name, DOB, Email ID, Contact number, Aadhar card number, details of ESM, etc. and in the second part, you have to answer about your City, state, account no., bank name, etc. After filling in all the details your registration will be complete and then you will attach the required documents with the form.
