Armed Forces Medical College is commonly known as AFMC which is located in Pune, Maharashtra India. It has been established in the year 1948. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Medical Science and managed by Indian Armed Forces. It is first medical institute of India acknowledged as the centre of Excellence for Education & research. It provides the education in medical and nursing field and assured the students for their career prospects in the defense services.
The offered courses by college are MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic Nursing, M.Sc nursing, Pg Diploma, MHA, MD in Physiology, Microbiology, General Medicine, Bio-Chemistry, Anatomy, Pharmacology and etc, MS in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and many more.

For MBBS and BSc Nursing, students must have done intermediate with PCB subjects from recognized board and obtained minimum 60% marks. The admission to MBBS course will be done through the counseling based on the score obtained in NEET and admission to B.Sc Nursing course will be done on the basis of score obtained in entrance test conducted by Armed Force Medical College, Pune. Selected students will be called for interview round at the college campus.
For admission to MS and MD, students must have done MBBS with one year rotatory internship from recognized University. They have to appear in NEET PG. 50% seats are reserved for All India Quota Students.
For MHA, students must have completed graduation from recognized University. Preference will be given to those students who have done their education in medical courses.
Admission to DM and M.Ch, Students must have done MD or MS in relevant discipline from recognized University.

The fee structure of college is very less and affordable. The fee of every course is different and the hostel and mess charges are also less. The average fee for MBBS course is Rs.56530 p.a, B.SC Nursing Rs.45510 p.a, P.BSC Rs.45510 p.a, MD Rs.64400 p.a, M.Ch Rs.69,400 p.a, M.Sc Rs.82400 p.a, MHA Rs.64400 and the fee of rest of the courses are less and affordable.
