BIT Mesra Ranchi Admission 2021 & Fee Structure

Birla Institute of Technology Mesra is known as BIT Mesra, located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is Deemed University, established in the year 1955. It is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

It was ranked 26 among Engineering College in India by NIRF in 2021, 43 among Universities and 66 overall. It has also been ranked 9th among Engineering College by India Today in 2021, 21 by Outlook India and 16th by The Week.

It imparts the professional education in various disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Science, Computer Application etc. The offered courses are B.E in Chemical, Civil, Biotechnology, Plastics and Polymer, Production, Computer Science etc, MBA, M.Pharm, B.Sc+M.sc, BHMCT, B.Pharm, M.E in Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering, Heat Power, Control Systems, Power Electronics etc, M.Tech in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Aerodynamics, Remote Sensing, Biomedical Instrumentation etc., M.Sc, MCA, Ph.D., M.Planning etc.

The institute has 21 academic departments inside the campus, which focuses on their respective field of courses. Some of the departments are Department of Architecture, Civil engineering, chemistry, bioengineering, physics, chemical engineering, computer science and engineering, Management, Pharmacy etc.

The campus of BIT is spread over an area of 980 acres of Land. The campus is residential campus, providing accommodation facility for all students, Faculties and Staff member. BIT Mesra Admission 2021

Admission to B.E and B.Arch course will be done on the basis of JEE Main and NATA. Once the Entrance Test will be conducted, admission to BE and B.Arch is offered through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
Admission to BHMCT will be done through Entrance Test and Interview conducted by BIT Mesra.
To take admission into B.Pharm course, students must qualified in NEET UG or JEE Main.
Admission to Integrated M.Sc course will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.
For Admission to M.Planning, students must have passed in B.Arch, For M.Pharm admission must hold Bachelor’s degree from recognized University.
MSC, students must have completed B.Sc in relevant discipline and secured minimum 60% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST category students). Admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in last qualifying examination.
For MCA, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ B.Sc with Mathematics from recognized University. They have to appear in Entrance Test and Interview conducted by BIT Mesra.
Admission to M.Tech and ME will be done through GATE score.
MBA admission will be done through CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Students who want to pursuePh.D after graduation must have secured minimum70% marks and must qualified in GATE with minimum 80% tile. Students who have working experience of 10 years with good research credentials can also apply to take admission.
Selection of the students for admission will be done through Ph.D. Entrance Test, Past academic Performance and performance in Interview conducted by BIT Mesra.
