B. S. Abdur Rahman University(BSAU) is formerly known as Crescent University, situated its headquarters at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is a private university, established in the year 1984.  It was ranked 3rd amongst the engineering institute located in Tamil Nadu by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD. It was also ranked 15 amongst the private engineering institute in India by NIRF. It has many schools inside the campus such as School of Infrastructure science, School of Mechanical Science, School of Electrical and communication science, School of physics and chemical science, Crescent Business School, Crescent School of Architecture etc

The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines. Admission criteria different as per courses. To Take admission in BSAU engineering UG Courses, students need to clear JEE and for PG courses appear in Gate Exam. Like engineering students need to clear relevant entrance exam to take admission in other courses like management, architecture, science, commerce, IT courses etc.
