Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) is one of the best institute for Plastics Engineering and technology, it is a Public Institute which is located in Amritsar, Punjab. It was established in the year 1988 by the Government of India. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education.
It imparts the education in the field of Plastics Engineering and Technology. The offered courses are BE in Plastic technology, Manufacturing Engineering, M.Tech in material science and technology, Polymer Nano Technology, Plastic Engineering/ technology, ME in CAD/ CAM, Post Graduate Diploma in Plastic Engineering and Testing, M.Sc Biopolymer Science, Diploma in Plastic Mold Technology and Plastic Technology.

For BE, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with PCM subjects from recognized board and obtained minimum 45% marks. They need to appear in CIPET JEE conducted by CIPET. Admission is granted on the basis of CIPET JEE score.
To get admission to ME, students must have completed BE or BTech in engineering discipline and obtained minimum 55% marks from recognized University. They have to appear in CIPET conducted by Institute. Admission will done on the basis of CIPET JEE score.
M.Sc and PG Diploma, must hold B.Sc degree with minimum 55% marks in qualifying examination. Students must have appeared in CIPET JEE.
To get admission to Diploma courses, students must have completed high school from recognized Board. They have to appear in CIPET JEE conducted by Institute. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in CIPET JEE.
