• Admission to various programs(UG and PG)  will be on the basis of an entrance examination that will be conducted online entrance examination.
• The merit list will be out on the notice board as well as the university website.
• For Ph.D. courses, students need to obtain a master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.  They have to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by Doon University or must clear UGC NET followed by Interviews.
• For MBA, the student must be graduated in any discipline from a recognized University. They must have a valid score in MAT/CAT/XAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• Admission to the M.Tech course will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the GATE or entrance test conducted by Doon University.

Doon University Entrance Exam Syllabus

The syllabus of the Doon University Entrance examination varies from course to course. The syllabus of the examination is general studies, aptitude, reasoning, situation analysis, and syllabus based multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For eg. The syllabus of B.SC (Hons)/M.Sc integrated physics/chemistry/mathematics/computer science  is divided into section 1(25) and Section 2 (75).This way the question paper is based on the subject related choice.
