Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH) is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in the year 1997. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated toDr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

It is an autonomous institute which imparts the technical education in field of Engineering discipline. The offered courses are B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, Architectural Assistantship.

It has well developed infrastructure and having all the required facilities inside the campus. There are modern classroom, well equipped labs and workshops, computer lab with internet connectivity, well stocked library with rich collection of books, magazines, newspapers etc, separate hostel for boys and girls, mess facility, medical facility, sports and games, air conditioned seminar hall, conference hall, lecture hall and other facilities are available for the students.

There is an active training and placement cell. The cell conducts various activities and training for the personality development programs, communication skills, attitudes and aptitude. T&P cell has a huge experience in training and placement related activities.

For admission to B.Tech, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. They need to appear in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination followed by Counseling.

To get admission to Diploma, 10th with science and mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. Students will be required to appear in Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination conducted by Joint Entrance Examination cell. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in UPJEE.

There is relaxation of 100% for Physically challenged students in Diploma course and 60% in B.Tech course.
