The Institute offers professional courses in the area of Retail Management, Footwear and Fashion Designing. It has three departments namely FDDI School of Footwear Design and Production, FDDI School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise and FDDI School of Fashion Design.
The offered courses are B.Des in Footwear Design and Production, B.Des Retail and Fashion Merchandise, B.Des fashion Design, M.des in Footwear design and production and MBA in Retail and Fashion Merchandise.

• Student can fill online application form on Institute official website.
• For admission to B.Des course. The duration of course is four year. To be eligible for this course, students must have completed 10+2 in any discipline from recognized board. Admission will be done on the first come first serve basis.
• For MBA admission, students must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination. Admission of students will be done on the first come first serve basis.
• Admission to M.Des, students must have completed B.Des in relevant discipline from recognized University. Admission is given on the basis of First-Come-First-Serve.

The campus of FDDI Chennai is spread over an area of 15 acres of green lush land.  There are Air Conditioned buildings, smart classrooms, lecture hall, seminar hall, conference hall, well-furnished library, Latest multimedia audio-video, well-equipped auditorium, laboratories, Separate hostel for boys and girls, mess, cafeteria etc. The Campus of college is equipped with the international testing laboratory which has many international certifications to its name.
The institute provides hi tech and practical based training in the field of retail management and fashion merchandising.  The visual merchandising lab at institute encompasses with the different hardware and latest technology which used in the industry.
It has Cutting/ Closing lab in which footwear leather is shaped in the machine and provides the hand on practice on different types of machines. There is a Design Lab that provides the equipped computers with applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Quark Express, After effects etc. It has also fashion lab in which students learn the garment manufacturing such as pattern making, Textile and production designing.
