Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is commonly referred as GIMT which is located in Guwahati, Assam. It was started in the year 2006 by Shrimanta Shankar Academy Society. The college is affiliated to Assam Science and technology University and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. It imparts the professional education in the field of Engineering, Management and Computer Application.

For B.Tech, students must have completed 12th in science stream with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as main subjects from recognized board. They must have obtained minimum 45% marks in qualifying examination.
For M.Tech, must have done bachelor degree in engineering discipline from recognized University.
To get admission in MBA, students must have done graduation in any discipline from recognized University and obtained minimum 50% marks.
For MCA, students must have done graduation with Mathematics as main subject from recognized University. For MCA Lateral, students must have completed BCA/ B.Sc Information Technology/ B.SC Computer Science from recognized University.

The fee structure of every course is different and it changes every year as per the norms of University. The fees can be paid in Installments twice in a year. The fee includes tuition fee, library charges, medical charges and others charges.
