Government College for Girls, Ludhiana

Government College for Girls is also known as GCG, located in Ludhiana, Punjab. It is a Government Girls college which has been established in the year 1943. The college is affiliated to Panjab University.
The campus of college is spread over an area of 45 acres of land and 10 acres of build up area. The campus is beautiful and well maintained and having all the major facilities. It has 30 classrooms, 4 computer lab, 22 laboratories, well stocked library with more than 65000 books, 15 newspapers, 63 magazines and etc. It provides the hostel facility for its students, mess and cafeteria, lecture hall, conference hall, medical facility, sports facility and other facilities are available.
GCG imparts the quality education in various disciplines such as Science, Humanities and Social Science, Music , Punjabi, Nutrition and Dietetics, Fine Arts, Commerce, Computer Application, Information Technology. The offered course are B.Com, B.SC, M.SC, M.Com, BCA, BA, PG Diploma, M.Sc in Information Technology and many more.
There are 86 distinguished faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced in their respective disciplines. Most of the teachers are Ph.D and M.Phil holders.

Government College for Girls, Ludhiana Admission

For BA admission, students must have completed 10+2 in any discipline from recognized board. The admission will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
BBA admission, 10+2 in any discipline with English as main subject from recognized Board. Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
B.Sc, Students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology as main subjects from recognized Board. Their admission will be also done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
For admission to BCA, students must have completed 10+2 in any discipline with Mathematics or Computer application as main subject from recognized board. Admission will be done on the merit basis.
MA, students must have completed graduation in related discipline from recognized University. Admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.
Admission to M.SC in Information Technology, students must have completed BCA/ B.SC in Information Technology/ Computer Science or any other equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from recognized University. Admission granted on the basis of Graduation marks.
For Admission to M.Com, students must have completed bachelor’s degree in commerce and obtained minimum 45% marks from recognized University. Admission will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
Admission to PGDCA will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination; students must have completed graduation with Mathematics as main subject at 10+2 or graduation level. Students who have done BCA or B.SC in Computer Science or IT are also eligible to take admission.
