Government Polytechnic is located in Tekari, Bihar. It was started in the year 2021. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to State Board of Technical Education, Bihar.
The college provides the excellent education in the field of Polytechnic Engineering. The offered courses are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Communication Engineering.
The campus of the college is well constructed and there are all required facilities are available for the students inside the campus. There are Computer Centre with latest hardware and software, Central Library with large collection of books related to engineering subjects, Wifi Connectivity, Sports facility, Medical Facility, Hostel and Mess facility, well-equipped labs and workshops and many more.
It has separate training and placement cell which closely associated with the industries and companies and prepares the students for their final campus placement. The cell does many activities for the overall development of students such as Personality Development programs, Group Discussion, Mock Interviews and many other facilities.

The minimum eligibility for Diploma course is high school with Mathematics, English and Science subjects from recognized board. They must have minimum 35% marks in qualifying examination.
Students will have to appear in Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. Admission will be done through the counseling based on the score obtained in entrance Exam.
Students who are willing to take admission in the second year must have done 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. Students who have done ITI are also eligible to take direct admission in the second year.
To take admission in the second year, students will have to appear in the entrance exam i.e. Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Lateral Entry. Admission will be done through the counseling based on the score obtained in entrance exam.
