Government Ranbir College is a Public College which is located in Sangrur, Punjab. It was started in the year 1939. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala. It imparts the education in various disciplines such as Medical, Science, Commerce, Hotel management, Information Technology, Banking, Humanities and Social Science, Management. The offered courses are BA, B.Com, BBA, PGD in Computer Application, B.Sc Medical, M.SC in Information Technology, BCA and others.

For admission to BA, BBA and B.Com, students must have completed 12th in any discipline from recognized board.
For B.Sc, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from recognized board.
The eligibility for BCA, students must have completed 12th with Mathematics as main subject from recognized board.
For M.SC Information Technology, must have done BCA, B.SC Information Technology/ Computer Science, B.SC with Mathematics from recognized University.
To be eligible for PGDCA, must have done graduation in any discipline from recognized University.
