Guru Nanak College, Phagwara

Guru Nanak College is known as GNC, located in Phagwara, Punjab. It has been established in the year 1969. It is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
GNC provides the education in the field Science, Humanities and Social Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Commerce etc. The offered courses are BCA, B.Com, B.Sc, PGDCA, BA, B.Com Professional, B.Sc in Information Technology, M.Sc in Computer science, M.Com, MA Punjabi, PGDBM, PGDMM etc.
Its campus is impressive and encompasses all required facilities. There are smart classroom, Hi Technology computer lab, Well equipped laboratories and workshops, Central AC library, Book Bank, Auditorium, Seminar Hall, Multi Purpose Sound Proof Hall, Modern equipment for body buildings, Sports facility, medical facility, Sports stadium, Indoor games and others.
There are 100 faculty members in many teaching and non teaching departments. All faculty members are highly qualified, dedicated and experienced in their respective disciplines.
It has a good record in Sports. It has shined in Football, Badminton, Tug of War, Volleyball, Boxing, Wrestling, Cricket, State and National Level tournaments.
The college conducts various activities like Youth Festival, Sports, State or National Level Festivals, Freshers, NCC, NCC and other activities are performed in college throughout the year.

For admission to BA, 10+2 in any discipline with minimum 40% marks from recognized board.
For B.SC, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology as main subjects from recognized Board. They must have obtained minimum 40% marks. Admission will be done through the merit basis of qualifying examination.
B.Com, students must have completed 10+2 in any stream and secured minimum 40% marks from recognized board. Admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
For BCA, 10+2 in any stream with 40% from recognized board. Admission is given on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
B.Sc in Information Technology, must have completed 10+2 in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from recognized Board.
MA Punjabi, students must have completed graduation with Punjabi sa one of the main subject at graduation level. They must have obtained minimum 50% marks in last qualifying examination.
For M.Com, students must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from recognized University and secured minimum 50% marks. Admission will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
Admission to M.Sc in Computer Science, students must have completed B.Sc in Information Technology/ Computer Science or BCA from recognized University. Must have obtained minimum 50% marks in graduation. Admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.Admission to PGDCA, PGDM and PGDMM, students must have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized University. Admission will be done on the merit basis of last qualifying examination.
