Guru Nanak Dev University is commonly referred as GNDU which is located in Amritsar, Punjab. It has been established in 1969. It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). 148 colleges and 71 associate Institutes are affiliated from GND University. Accredited with 'A' Grade, which is highest for any University by NAAC(National Assessment and Accreditation Council)
GNDU has been ranked 86th overall in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework and 59 among Universities in the year 2021.
GNDU has won National Championship in Inter University Youth Festival in 2021. The University has also been national champion for eight times. It also won the North Zone Inter University Cultural Championship 12 times.

GNDU has 37 departments which offer the UG, PG and Doctoral Level courses. To apply for any course, students need to fill online registration form or they can obtain the registration form from University campus.
For admission to all Undergraduate, Post Graduate courses and doctoral level courses will be done through Entrance Exam conducted by Guru Nanak Dev Univeristy.
For B.Arch, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Mathematics as main subject from recognized Board. Students must have valid score in NATA.
For admission to B.P.ES, M.P.Ed and B.P.Ed, student has to clear the Physical test followed by Entrance test conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University.
There is 5% relaxation in marks for the SC/ST category students.
The minimum eligibility for undergraduate courses like B.Sc , B.Com, BA, BALLB, must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination.
For B.tech, must have done intermediate with PCM subjects with minimum 50% along with valid score in JEE Main.
For LLB, student needs to complete graduation with minimum 455 marks.
For all the UG course, the student must have completed intermediation in relevant discipline from recognized board.
For M.Tech, B.E or B.Tech degree in any Engineering discipline with valid score in GATE.
For M.Com, must have done b.com or BBA with minimum 50% marks.

The GNDU fee structure is quite moderate. Every course fee is different.
There is fee concession for those students whose family income is less.
Fee can be paid online as well as offline.
Hostel fee and college is different. So student who wants to stay in hostel has to pay separately for college fee and hostel fee.
