Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI) is located in Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh. It has been established in the year 2007 under the aegis of Maa Saraswati Educational Trust. It is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University and HPTS.
It has many constituent colleges namely HP Institute of Engineering and Technology, Himalayan Polytechnic, Himalayan Institute of Management, Himalayan Institute of Computer Science, HP College of Law, HP College of Education, Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy.
The infrastructure of college is spread over the green lush land. There are many facilities provided by the colleges. It has well-equipped laboratories and equipment, classrooms, ATM facility, Medical facility, Transportation, Sports facility, well-stocked library with rich collection of books, journals, magazines, Guest House, Lecture Hall, Conference and Seminar hall etc.
HGPI provides the education in the field of Engineering, Management, Computer Application, Teaching and Education, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy etc. The offered courses are B.Tech, Diploma, M.Tech, Junior Basic Training, B.ed, MBA, BBA, PGDM, BALLB, LLB, BCA, B.Pharm, MCA, B.sc Nursing, GNM, D.Pharm, M.Pharm etc.
It organizes various activities like cultural programs, Technical Fest, dance, Diwali celebration, debates, workshops, seminars, Sports and other events throughout the year.

Admission to B.Tech, 10+2 in science stream with PCM subjects with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST) in the above subjects together and have valid score in JEE Main or HPCET, If without test then 55% (General Category) and 50% (for SC/ST category).
Admission to 50% seats will be done on the basis of score obtained in JEE Main. Then other remaining seats will be filled on the basis of score obtained in HPCET. In case some seats will remain vacant then it will be filled up on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
Admission to M.Tech, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) and have valid score in GATE or HPCET. Without Test, students must secure minimum 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST). Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in GATE. Vacant seats will be filled on the basis of score obtained in HPCET or marks obtained in graduation.
Admission to Diploma in Engineering, Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in PAT. Remaining seats will be filled on the basis of marks obtained in high school examination. For direct admission, students must have secured minimum 50% marks in high school examination.
For direct admission in the second year of Diploma course, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with minimum 50% marks from recognized board.
Admission to MBA will be done through CAT/ MAT/ HPCMAT. 15% seats under management quota will be filled by the college on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.
Admission to BBA will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
MCA admission, graduation with Mathematics as the main subject at 10+2 or graduation level with minimum 50% marks. Admission will be done on the basis of sore obtained in HPCET. 15% seats through management quota will be filled on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.
Admission to BCA, 10+2 with Mathematics or Computer Application as the main subject with minimum 45% marks from recognized board.
Admission to B.Pharm, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST). Students must have valid score in HPCET. Students without a valid score in HPCET must have obtained minimum 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST).
M.Pharmacy, admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in HPCET. 15% seats will be filled through management quota on the basis of marks obtained in B.Pharm (60% marks for general and 55% marks for SC/ST ).
D.Pharm, 10+2 in science stream. Admission will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
Admission to BALLB will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination and LLB admission will also be done on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.
For B.Ed admission, Students must have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized University.
Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, Kala Amb Fee Structure
The fee structure of HGPI is nominal and affordable. Students can submit the college fee in two installments annually.
The total fee of B.Tech course is Rs. 251,000 and the fee of other courses are also feasible. Any student can afford the college fee.
The hostel and Mess charge is not included in the college fee. Students have to pay separately for hostel and mess facility.
