Indira Gandhi Engineering College is an autonomous Engineering college which is located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 1981. It has been declared an autonomous Institute by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.
It imparts the professional education in the field of Engineering. It offers the BE course in various discipline of engineering such as Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The campus of college is sprawling over an area of 220 acres of Land. It has peaceful environment which is good for better learning. It provides the all sufficient facilities and amenities to the students such as ventilated and spacious classrooms, well equipped labs and workshops, separate hostel for boys and girls, auditorium, administrative block, mess facility, well stocked library with large collection of books, reference book, periodicals etc, Conference Hall, Seminar hall, Medical facilities etc.
It organizes various events and activities such as Tech Fest, Cultural Fest, Annual day, Sports activities, Cultural Programs, Debates, Social activities, Seminars, Workshops etc throughout the year.

IGEC offers the BE course in various engineering disciplines. The duration of course is three years. The minimum eligibility for BE course is 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects from recognized board. They must scored minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of Sc/St category students).
For admission to BE lateral, students must have completed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc with Mathematics as main subject from recognized University.
