The Institute of Home Economics was established in the year 1961, situated at Delhi, India. It is affiliated to University of Delhi.

Institute of Home Economics, Delhi Admission
For admission to B.Sc Hons in Home Science, students must have completed 10+2 with English and obtained minimum 50% marks. For B.Sc Home Science, must have done 10+2 with English and obtained minimum 405 marks. Admission will be done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
For B.Sc Hons, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream from recognized board and scored aggregate of 50% marks. Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
The selection for B.El.Ed, students will be required to appear in Common Entrance Examination conducted by University.
For admission to M.Sc in various specializations will be done through Entrance Examination conducted by University.
For PG Diploma, students must have completed B.Sc with minimum 55% marks from recognized University. They need to appear in entrance exam conducted by University. Admission is given on the basis of score obtained in entrance exam.
To get admission to Ph.D courses, students must have completed master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks. Students will have to appear in Entrance Examination conducted by University. Admission will be done through counseling based on the score obtained in entrance examination.
