Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC) is located in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh. It has been established in 2006 and run by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.
It is imparting the technical education in the field of Engineering and Technology. It offers the Under graduate courses in engineering discipline like Textile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
It is focusing on to become a world class institution where students can enhance their Skill, Passion and Creativity.
The college campus is spread over 2.6726 hectares of land. It has well-equipped Classrooms, hostels, the good stock of books in the library, Laboratories, E- Classrooms, Conference Hall, Guest Hous, Computer Labs, Mess, Cafeteria, Sports facility, Medical Facility etc.
It conducts various extracurricular activities in college campus like Twask (It is an annual Cultural Fest and 3-day long event), Reflexia (It is the annual college magazine which college publish and distribute to the students), Seminars, Cultural programs, Industrial Visit, Sports etc.

To be eligible for B.Tech courses, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. They need to obtain minimum 45% marks in qualifying examination. Students will be required to appear in HPCET or JEE Main.
Admission will be done through counseling based on the score obtained in HPCET or JEE Main.
Vacant seats will be filled on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
