Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology is commonly referred as JIIT, which is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It has been established in the year 2001 and in 2004 it got the status of Deemed to be University by UGC. The institute has seven academic departments and offered the programs of Technical education at Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral level.

It has been ranked amongst the Top Engineering Institutes of Delhi NCR. Recently it was ranked among top Engineering Institutes of India by Edu Rand 2021 Engineering Colleges Ranking.

It has International tie up with Finnish University of Applied science, University of California Berkeley, University of Florida, University of Westminster etc.

JIIT imparts the technical education in the field of Engineering and Management. The offered courses are B.Tech in Information Technology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, MBA, B.Tech+ M.Tech, M.Tech in Information Security, Biotechnology, Material Science and Engineering, Communication Systems, Electronics and Communication Engineering etc, Ph.D.

The campus of JIIT is well constructed and having world class facilities. It has modern building with Wifi Connectivity, Various academic Blocks, Faculty residence, Business school Cum Research Block, Separate hostel for boys and girls, Mess, Cafeteria, Medical Facility, Transportation, Well stocked library, sports and games, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall and others.

There is a Learning Resource Centre which is the central library of the college. It has more than 42,000 numbers of books, 631 E-Books, 175 Emerlad journals, 22893 project reports, 5937 Springer lecture notes, 472 ACM , 3,33,493 ABI/INFORM Complete, and 4326 CD and DVD resources. It is also a member of Developing Library Network (DELNET).

There are 5 computer labs, and others labs are Biotechnology lab, Digital Communication Lab, Analog, Machine Lab, Electronics Design Lab, Physics Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Control System lab and others. It has various workshops for each and every department. Students can gain the practical knowledge in workshops.

JIIT conducts Impression and Converge every year which are the annual and Cultural and Technical Fest. It also organizes Cyber Srishti which is the annual Technical Fest. Apart from this, It conducts various seminars, conferences, workshops, industrial visit etc throughout the year.

Training and Placement cell works training and placement related activities and invites the top reputed companies and industries for the campus placement.

The major recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Barclays, Polaris Software, Newgen, Neomagics, Contata Solutions Pvt. Ltd and many more.

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida Admission

For B.Tech admission, students must have completed intermediate with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as main subjects from recognized board. They need to score minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination. Admission will be done through counseling based on the score obtained in JEE Main. For admission to B.Tech in Biotechnology and Bioinformation, 50% seats will be filled on the basis of JEE mains score and remaining 50% on the merit basis of qualifying examination.

For Admission to M.Tech, students must have completed B.Tech or BE in Engineering discipline and secured minimum 50% marks from recognized University. They must have valid score in GATE or Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). Admission will be done through counseling based on the score obtained in GATE and Post Graduate Entrance Test.

Admission to Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Technology and Entrepreneurship, students will have to appear for Personal Interview conducted by JIIT.

For MBA admission, students must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in graduation. Selection of students for admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in State/ National Management Aptitude Test or Entrance Exams followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

To get admission to Ph. D programs, students need to complete Master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks from recognized University. Students will have to appear for Written Entrance Exam conducted by JIIT. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in Entrance Exam by JIIT/ UGC/ CSIR JRF/ NET/ SLET.

The fee of College is neither high nor too low, it is much feasible. Students who cannot afford the college fee can opt for Educational loan from any bank.

The fee of B.Tech course is Rs.1,90,000 p.a., MBA Rs.1,50,000, M.Tech Rs.1,20,000 p.a., B.Tech+M.Tech Rs.2,00,000 p.a. and Ph.D Rs.50,000 p.a.
