Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology is also known as MNNIT, located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It has been established in the year 1961 and it was a regional Institute of Engineering by State Government and Central Government. The college was declared as a National Institute and a Deemed University recognized by University Grants Commission in the year 2002.
It ranked 48 among Engineering Colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021 and The institute was awarded Nation B-School Award 2021 and ranked 3rd in CSR.
MNNIT offers the Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral level courses in various disciplines such as Engineering, Computer Application, Social Work, Management and Science. The offered courses are B.Tech in Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology etc, M.Tech in Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Communication Systems, Electrical Engineering, Design Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Control Systems and Instrumentation etc, Master of Social Work, MBA, M.Sc in Mathematics, MCA, Ph.D in Management Studies, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics etc.

For admission to B.Tech, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. They must have obtained minimum 75% marks in qualifying examination (65% marks in case of Sc/St). Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in JEE Main and marks obtained in qualifying examination followed by counseling.
For Admission to M.Tech in Software Engineering, students must have done B.Tech or BE in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/ MCA/ M.sc in Computer science from recognized University. Students must have valid score in GATE. They also have to appear in Entrance test conducted by MNNIT. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in GATE and Entrance test.
To get admission to M.Tech course in various specializations, students need to complete Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Discipline from recognized University. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in GATE followed by Counseling.
For admission To M.Sc, must have done B.Sc with Mathematics as main subject with minimum 60% marks from recognized University. Students must have valid score in JAM Entrance Exam.
Admission to MCA, graduation with mathematics or computer science as main subject and obtained minimum 60% marks from recognized University. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in NIMCET.
For MBA admission, must have done graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from recognized University (55% marks in case of SC/ST category students). Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in CAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
MSW, admission will be done on the basis of MNIT Entrance Exam.
To get admission to Ph.D course, student need to complete Master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks from recognized University. Students have to appear in Written Test and Interview. Students with valid score in UGC NET/ CSIR NET or Gate will not required to appear in written test, they will have to appear in Interview only.
