National Brain Research Centre, commonly known as NRBC which is located in Gurugram, Harayana. It is an autonomous government institute which has been established in the year 1997. It got the status of deemed to be university in the year 2003.
NRBC has collaboration with many institutions such as RIKEN Brain Science Institute Japan, Utrect University, The Netherlands, INSERM, National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), US etc.
Institute has been ranked no.1 in India in number of publication in Basic Neuroscience during the year 2006 to 2021.
NBRC imparts the education in the field of Neuroscience. The offered course are M.SC in Neuroscience, Ph.D in Neuroscience, M.SC +Ph.D in Neuroscience.

To get admission to M.Sc in Neuroscience, students must have completed B.Sc in any branch of science such as Statistics/ Computer Application/ MBBS/ Psychology/ Veterinary Science/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Life Science/ Pharmacy/ Technology or any other equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from recognized University. Students who are appearing in their final year of examination are also eligible to apply for this course. Students need to score minimum 55% marks in qualifying examination (50% marks in case of SC/ST/Ph category students).
For admission to Ph.D course, students must have completed Master’s degree in any branch of science such as Life Science/ Pharmacy/ Psychology/ veterinary science/ Mathematics/Physics pr any other equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from recognized University. Students who have done minimum 4 years of course work leading Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine frm recognized University are also eligible to apply. Students who are appearing in their master’s degree examination can also apply for this course. They must secure minimum 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST category students).

The annual fee of Ph.D course is Rs.10,000 p.a., and M.SC Rs.10,000 p.a.
The Hostel fee Rs.10,000 (refundable), Library deposit Rs.3,000 (refundable), Fellowship Rs.12,000 per month.
