National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli Admission 2021 & Fee Structure

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is located in Tamil Nadu. It is also known as NITT or NIT Trichy. It has been established in the year 1964.

It has been ranked 228 in Asia in 2021 ranking by QS World University Rankings. It has also been ranked 11th among Engineering Institutes in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2021 and 31 overall. It was ranked 13 among Engineering College in India in 2021 by the Week.

It has collaboration with many Foreign and National universities such as Asia Institute of Technology, Thailand, Binghamton University, United State, Institute Mines, Telecom, France, Konkuk University, South Korea, IIT, Madras, IIT, Kharagpur etc.

The campus of NIT Trichy spread over an area of 800 acres of land having various buildings, administrative block, academic block, Hostel building etc. The NITT campus is one of the largest campuses in India.

It imparts the professional education in the field of Engineering, Management, Computer Application, Architecture, Science, and Technology. The offered courses are B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering etc, MBA, B.Arch, M.Sc, MCA, M.Arch, M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Communication Systems, Construction Technology, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Power Electronics etc, PH.D in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management Studies, Computer Science and Engineering etc.

NITT provides all required facilities inside the college campus. There are well-equipped classrooms, Laboratories, Research Centre, Separate Hostels for Girls and Boys, Mess, Cafeteria and Mess, Central Library, Guesthouse, Seminar and Conference Hall, 2 lecture hall complexes, 3 computer centers, Quarters for the faculty members, Workshops etc.

It conducts many Curricular and extracurricular activities like Festember (Annual Day), Nittfest (Cultural Fest, Technical Fest, Sports, Competitions, Seminars, Workshops, Convocation Programme etc.

The Training and Placement cell of the institute is responsible for interaction with many industries, conduct industrial visit, guest lecture etc to enhance employment opportunities for studies. The cell provides 100% guidance and training.

NIT Trichy Admission 2021

To be eligible for B.Tech and B.Arch course, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with PCM subjects and secured minimum 75% marks (65% marks in case of SC/ST category students) from recognized Board. Admission to both courses will be done on the basis of score obtained in JEE Mains followed by JOSAA Counseling.
M.Sc admission will be done through Entrance Test conducted by NIT, Trichy. Selection will be done on the basis of score obtained in Entrance Test and performance in past academic record.
For admission to MBA, students must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from recognized University. Admission will be done only on the basis of score obtained in CAT.
For MCA admission, students must have completed graduation with mathematics as compulsory subject from recognized University and secured minimum 50% marks. Students need to appear in NIMCET, a National Level Entrance Test for admission to MCA course.
NIT Trichy offers Doctoral Level courses in 3 categories namely Full-Time, Part-Time (External) and Part-Time (on campus). To apply for Ph.D. course, students must have completed Master’s degree in relevant discipline and secured minimum 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/ PWD category students). Ph.D. admission will be done through Entrance Test followed by Interview. Students who have valid score in any one of the following Entrance Exam such as GATE/ NET/ NBHM/ CAT/XAT/MAT/JRF are also eligible to apply for this.
MS by Research admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in GATE.

NIT Trichy Fee Structure

The Fee structure of NIT Trichy is different for all the categories and courses. The fee for General and OBC category students is same but higher than SC/ST category students.
Fee structure is much feasible when compared with the quality of Education, Infrastructure and facilities provided by the college.
There are many scholarships schemes which college provides the deserving and meritorious students on the basis of their academic performance.
