Established in the year 1952,affiliated to Dibrugarh University.
Offered courses of the college are B.A, BCA, M.A, PGDCA, H.S (Science), B.Sc, B.P in education, M.Sc, PGDDM and many others.
It has many departments inside the campus, which includes Department of Botany, Chemistry, Economics, Electronics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science etc.
The campus has built sophisticated infrastructure facility inside the campus which includes well stocked library, hostel facility, conference hall, scholarship, computer centre, internet facility, biotech hub, language lab, Banking and ATM Facility.
It has many study centres inside the campus which includes distance education centre, KKHSOU Study centre, IGNOU Study centre, Gandhian Study centre, Women’s study centre, Equal Opportunity centre and others.
