Presidency College, Chennai was established on 15th October year 1840. It is one of the oldest institution Chennai that holds a strong chain of disseminating quality education year by year. The college has seen many transformations in terms of education and curriculum. It has highly qualified and experienced faculty members and well-trained admin staff. It is a government college affiliated to University of Madras, Chennai. The main aim of the college is to provide value based education which infused with moral and social importance. The college was ranked among the top college of Arts and Science in the year 2007 and the award was presented by Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The college is the successive holder of top ranks by India today ranking.  The college is also awarded grade “A” by national assessment and Accreditation Council. Presidency College Chennai Admission 2021 

• Students will be admitted to all the courses on the reservations and other rules prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu from Time to Time.
• The application form can be obtained from the college in person or can be filled online.
• Candidates seeking admission to UG/PG degree should submit an application form in person or through the post which should reach  before the last date before 5 pm

• Students can also apply online and thereby they will be contacted by the admission authority. 
• Those Candidates who can seek the admission under social/reserve category like Children of freedom fighters, Haired Impaired, Orthopedically Physically disabled and Children of Ex-Servicemen – except sports quota shall submit the separate special category form I.
• Candidates seeking admission under sports quota will get direct admission. 
• Photocopy and Fax copy of the application form will not be accepted. 
• Admission to UG courses will be done on the basis of counselling. The dates of counselling will be notified in the counselling schedule.
• Admission to PG Courses will be based on rules laid down by the government of Tamil Nadu. Intimation will be sent to applicants who are provisionally selected.
• Admission to all the courses will be given only when selected candidates will meet the principal in person with original documents according to the time notified in the admission letter. 
• Registration is ongoing. Applicants apply online or offline 
• For UG course admission candidates must not be more than 21 years of age as on 1st July 2021.
• Age is relaxable as per government rule.

Application Form 

Application for admission to all the courses should be submitted only in a prescribed form. The application form can be taken from the college office on payment of INR 48 /- B.A /B.Sc./B.Com/B.Com (HI )/BCI HI and INR 58 for MA/M.Sc./M.Com/MSW courses.

Form for SC/ST will be issued free of cost Rs 2 will be collected as registration fee from all the applicants. If a candidate is sending an application by post then candidates should send postal order /bank DD along with the self-addressed envelope, size 25x10 cm, bearing postage stamp for Rs 12. The postal order, bank DD is taken on or before 1st May 2021, drawn in the favour of “ Principal, Presidency College (Autonomous ), Chennai-600 005” and duly crossed. Request for application form with cheque and money order will not be entertained. All the completed application should reach to the principal on or before the last date.

The last date for the sale of applications form and receipt of completed application form will be put up on the college notice board for B.A/B.SC./B.com/B.C.A courses. The date us within the ten days from the date of releasing the results of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examinations, April 2021 in the website. For PG admission application should be sent within 10 days after the publication of the results of April 2021 B.A/B.Sc./B.Com/B.C.A examinations of the University of Madras. Appropriate dates will be notified on the college notice board.

Instruction for filling Application Form 

The applicants can fill the application either in English or Tamil. All columns in the application form must be filled. Incomplete Application form summary will be rejected. Xerox Copies of Certificates such as Marksheet, community certificate (if applied), Certificate of Merit (Sports /NCC), Transfer Certificate should be enclosed compulsorily.

Presidency College Fees Structure 

The presidency college fees structure vary from course to course. The fees of B.A is INR 3, 725, B.Sc.is INR 3, 785, BCA is INR 3,785, M.Sc. is INR 1,824 and M.A is INR 1,725 . This is the list of few courses offered by the college. The course fees are very nominal and can be paid easily at the time of admission. The courses fee goes maximum till four thousand in total.  Hostel and other fee are not added in mentioned fee cost.
