Nanhi Pari Seemant Engineering Institute is commonly known as SIT, it is a Constituent college of Uttarakhand Technical University, located in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. It is one of the best government engineering college of Uttarakhand which has been established in the year 2007. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun.
SIT provides the technical education in the field of engineering disciplines. It offers the B.Tech courses in various specializations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
SIT not only focuses on the technical education but also provides the various practical and industrial training. It maintains the relation with the industries for on the job training of students.
There are various facilities available inside the campus. There are well equipped. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to classroom with best teaching aids, computer lab with internet connectivity, well stocked library, medical facility, internet facility, seminar hall, conference hall, hostel, mess, cafeteria etc.
The training and placement cell prepares the students for their campus placement by conducting various programs and activities such as GD Session, Mock interviews, Pre Placement talk, career counseling etc. The main recruiting companies are Hindustan Times, Corporate Concierge Services, Woxa Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Unitechnosys.

To be eligible for B.tech course, students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board.
Students must have appeared in JEE Main and score valid marks.
Admission will be done through Uttarakhand Technical University Counseling based on the score obtained in JEE Main.
90% seats are reserved for the Uttarakhand Domicile Students and 10% are reserved for All India Students.

SIT fee structure is less as being a Government Engineering College. The tuition fee of B.Tech course is Rs.50,000 per annum.
Examination fee Rs.5,000 p.a. Sports Fees Rs.400 p.a., Development fee Rs.400 pa, Student welfare Rs.300 p.a., Caution Money Rs.2,500, Registration Fee Rs.300 and Enrollement fee Rs.1500.
