Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed to be University) previously known as Sri Ramachandra University located in Porur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu It was established in the year 1985 by Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust and declared deemed to be University by Government of India under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The university offers many UG and PG courses and super specialities doctoral courses and one certificate program. The university in the by “A” by NAAC. The college has many facilities like 54500 of total books, choice-based credit system in the department of pharmacy, biomedical sciences and management through which students can choose their courses according to their skills and goals. Separate hostel facility is provided for girls and boys, Wi-Fi facility and transportation facility within Chennai and outside the city.

- Ramachandra Medical College admission is strictly done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam and entrance examination.
- Admission to MBBS and BDS admission is on the basis of NEET UG followed by counselling.

The university offers B.Sc. Nursing along with B.Sc. (PB) Nursing at UG level and M.Sc. (Nursing) at PG level.
