Stella Maris College is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is autonomous college, established in 1947 and affiliated to University of Madras, Chennai.

It imparts the quality education in various disciplines such as Commerce, Science, Management, Language, Social Work, Arts and Social Science, Economics, Computer Application and many more. There are many departments namely Department of Chemistry, Economics, Commerce, Language, Social Work, Physics, Biotechnology, Computer Application, English, Bioinformatics, Sociology, Physics, Psychology, Visual Arts, International Studies, History and Tourism, Information Technology etc.

Stella Maris College infrastructure is well equipped and having all major facilities such as Smart Classroom, Banking Facility, Sports facility, Library, Audio-Visual Room, Computer Center, Separate hostel for Boys and Girls, DTP Centre, Cafeteria, Mess, laboratories, Medical aid etc.

Students can fill the application form on the college official website. Fill the application form carefully and take a print out of the filled application form and send the hard copy of the application form along with the required document to college admission office.
The application process for admission starts in the month of April / May and students can submit the application form until the second week of June.
Admission to Undergraduate courses will be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 examination and Interview round.
Admission to BA course will be done through an Entrance Test followed by Interview round.
Admission to Post Graduate courses will be done through Entrance Test conducted by University followed by Interview Round.
To get Admission to M.Phil andPh.D course, Students must have completed Master’s degree in their respective disciplines from recognized University.

The Minimum Eligibility For the Undergraduate Courses are:

BA/ BVA/ B.Voc: 10+2 in any discipline with English as compulsory subject.
B.Sc : 10+2 in Science stream with PCM/ PCM subjects.
B.Com / Accounting and Finance: 10+2 with Commerce, Accountancy, Mathematics/ Business Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
B.Com (CS): 10+2 with Commerce and Accountancy as main subject.
BCA: 10+2 with Computer Application/ Mathematics as main subjects from recognized Board.
BSW: 10+2 in any discipline and must have good communication skills in Tamil language.

The Minimum Eligibility For the Post Graduate Courses are:

MA in Economics: Bachelor’s degree with Economics as compulsory subject or BA in Economics from recognized University.
MA in English: BA in English or B.A with English as one of the main subject.
MA in Fine Arts: Must have completed B.Sc in Interior Design and Decoration/ BA in Fine Arts/ BFA or equivalent qualification.
MA in Public relation/ International Studies: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks.
M.Sc in Biotechnology: Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology/ Plant Biology/ Plant Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Advanced Zoology/ Zoology/ Botany or any other equivalent qualification.
M.Sc in Bioinformatics: B.Sc in Mathematics/ Physics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Agriculture/ Biotechnology or equivalent qualification.
M.Sc in Information Technology: Must have completed B.Sc in information technology/Computer Science/ BCA or B.Sc with Mathematics.
M.Sc in Mathematics: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the main subject from recognized University.
M.Com: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
MSW: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and must have good communication skills in Tamil Language.
Pg Diploma in Computer Science: B.Sc in information technology/Computer Science/ BCA or Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics.
Pg Diploma in Medical Lab Technology: Must have competed Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology/ Medical Lab/ Biochemistry/ Physics or any other equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from recognized University.
