Swami Vivekanand Government College is a Government college (SGGDC) which was established in the year 1994 by Government of Rajasthan, It is located in Ghumarwin, Bilaspur,Himachal Pradesh. The vision of the college is to provides the best education to students and make them academically excellent and socially. It is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

The college of the campus is spread over an area of 14.04 acres of land. There are well-equipped labs and workshops for the students so that they can gain practical knowledge. It has a well-stocked library with 8500 books, 25 magazines, 18 Hindi and English Newspapers, 3800 e-journals, 20 printed journals, 91,000 E-Books, etc.  It has well-equipped classrooms, auditorium, medical facility, sports and games, Hostel and mess facility, etc.

It provides education in the area of Computer Application, Commerce, Humanities and Social Science, and Applied Science. The offered courses are BA, B.Com, BCA, and B.SC.

There are approx 45 teachers who are highly qualified and experienced in their respective disciplines and imparting education to students.

It conducts many students’ activities such as NCC, NSS, CSCA, Rovers and Rangers, Clubs, and Societies.

• For the BA course, students must have completed intermediate in any stream from a recognized board and obtained minimum45% marks in the qualifying examination.
• For BSc, must have done 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as main subjects from a recognized board.
• The minimum eligibility for B.Com, 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized board.
• For BCA, students must have completed 10+2 in any discipline with mathematics or computer science as main subjects from a recognized board.
