Thangavelu college has a separate department of Training and Placement to provide job opportunities to students keeping in mind their preferences and strengths. The department fully understands the expectations of corporate from students and trains them accordingly. The T&P department has signed MOUs with leading training companies for providing communication, soft skills and technical training. The department has a comprehensive training program that commences from the first semester onwards with Communication Skills and the second semester has a personality development program. In the second and third year, the students are trained on the latest technology with at least two certifications. Lastly in their final year, students undergo intensive placement training leading to a successful career launch.

As mentioned above, the department has signed MOUs with leading Companies for Industry-Institute Collaboration, through which regular guest lectures from Industry are arranged. Also, real-time projects are sourced to the students for testing their skills. The things taught in the placement training are communication skills, personality development program, Advance Java, CCNA, Electrical CADD, PCB Design, Embedded, Solidworks, REVIT, MS Project, and Placement Training.
