Lotus College of Optometry was Started in the year 2000 by Late Shree Naval P.Baliwalla. The institution is Mumbai's first four-year degree program in Optometry. It is a unit of the Optometric education society, a government registered a trust. Optometric Education Society aims at delivering quality education in eye care. The vision of a college is also to reach pout underprivileged population through excellent eye care services.  The institution has its own non-profit charitable hospital which is ISO certified. The hospital is situated in Juhu and is managed by a highly qualified team of Ophthalmologists, optometrists, and trained medical and paramedical staff. Lotus College of Optometry also organizes the Indo-French Student-Faculty Program in which faculty and students from India and France share their educational experiences in the form of visiting each other's campus and attending seminars and workshops etc.

Lotus College Of Optometry Courses 

Lotus College of Optometry offers UG, PG, and doctoral level programs. It also offers a pediatric optometry fellowship program of 6 months and also offers a Ph.D. in optometry sciences. In the UG course, the college offers B.OPTOM and in the PG course, it offers M.OPTOM. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• For the UG course candidates have to be 12th passed out from a recognized board in the PCB stream. 
• They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in 12th.
• For the PG course candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in a relevant field i.e. graduate in a relevant discipline. 
• For Ph.D. candidates holding masters degree and work experience will be added advantage.
• For fellowship, candidates will be going through a round of interviews.
