Ujjain Engineering College is commonly known as UEC, it is a Government Engineering College which is located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. It was started in the year 1966 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.
It has vast campus which is spread over an area of 300 acres of green lush land. It has good infrastructure and all modern facilities and amenities are available for its students. There are spacious and Ventilated smart classrooms, well equipped laboratories and workshops, well equipped computer lab with internet facility, Central library with large collection of books, Air Conditioned Seminar Hall, Conference Room, Sports and Games, Separate hostel for boys and Girls, Cafeteria, Mess facility, Auditorium and other facilities are also provided by the college.

Every year UEC organizes Technical Fest as well as many other events, activities and programs for the overall development of students.

Students can fill online application form on college official website on the payment of Rs.750.
To be eligible for BE Course, students need to complete 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from recognized board. Students must have appeared in JEE Main. Admission will be granted on the basis of score obtained in JEE Main.
For admission to ME and M.Tech courses, students must have completed B.Tech or BE degree in Engineering discipline from recognized University. They need to appear in GATE exam. Admission will be done through Counseling based on the score obtained in GATE. In case seats will remain vacant them it will be filled on the basis of written test or marks obtained in qualifying examination.

UEC fee structure is low being a Government Engineering College. There is fee concession in fees for those students who belong to SC/ST category students.
