B. Tech. - Ceramic Engineering is known as Bachelor of Technology in Ceramic Engineering, which is an undergraduate degree program. Ceramic Engineering is the technology of creating non-metallic & inorganic objects having the crystalline structure, through the process of heat, or precipitation reactions at the lower temperatures. It includes purification of raw materials, production of chemical compounds and complete study of their structures. Ceramics consist of domestic, industrial and building products and art objects. Under this course, students will know about the use of ceramic in the production of various products. Further, they will also know about the processing of non-metallic inorganic materials into various ceramic products like fiber optics products, coating for space vehicles, Pollution control devices, components of nuclear fuel.
