B.Com. LL.B.(Hons)

  • B.Com LL.B stands for Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Legislative Law. It is an integrated undergraduate full-time course which combines the study of commerce and law subjects.
  • The duration of this course is 5 years and 10 semesters. Each semester lasts for a period of 6 months. The average tuition fee for this course ranges from INR 5 to 10 lacs.
  • This course prepares the students for the career in the legal field. On the successful completion of this course, students are titled as “lawyer”.
  • The course curriculum lays emphasis on commerce subjects as well as law and legislature subjects. During the course, students also have to undergo for the compulsory internship of minimum 5 months with law firms, advocates and legal organizations.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Com. LL.B:
Candidates after passing their higher secondary examination will be eligible for admission into 5 years of B.Com. LL.B programme. The 12th examination must be passed in commerce stream by obtaining the minimum aggregate of 50% marks. The criteria of marks percentage may vary from college to college. Candidates whose 10+2 results are awaiting can also apply but such candidates have to show the proof of passing the examination at the time of admission.


Admission Procedure for B.Com. LL.B:
•    Candidates intended to take admission into B.Com. LL.B has to appear the entrance test.
•    Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the national level test conducted by 18 NLUs for granting admission into this course.
•    Other than CLAT, there are many other law entrance tests which are considered for providing admission to MH CET Law, AP LAWCET, TS LAWCET, AILET, etc.
•    Students wishing to take admission in foreign law schools are required to qualify the entrance test namely LSAT.
•    Allotment of seats will be done through centralized counseling based on the rank obtained in the entrance test.
