BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) Admission 2021 & Top Colleges

BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental Science, which is an undergraduate degree program of medical field. This course mainly focuses on the knowledge and skills related to general dental practices to treat, prevent and diagnose oral diseases. The first two years of the program deliver knowledge in the basic sciences which provide the clinical and biomedical foundations relevant to Dentistry. Clinical work begins in third year and this experience is broadened in fourth year. Under this course, students will learn the various form of treatment including Oral Medicine and Radiology, Dental Materials, Surgical Procedures, Oral Pathology, Dental Anatomy and Oral Histology and Community Dentistry. Moreover, students will gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes that require them to become practitioners of dentistry. As well as, they will gain experience in the areas of oral medicine and maxillofacial surgery.
