B.Tech. - Biomedical Engineering Admission 2021 & Top Colleges
B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering commonly known as B.Tech BME, it is an undergraduate full-time course of 4 years duration. Biomedical Engineering is a specialization of engineering in which engineering principles and techniques are applied to biology and medicine for advancement in healthcare treatment. It is a vast field and will provide a greater chance of learning. The uses of biomedical engineering in the development of various diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, imaging equipment such as MRIs, EKGs, etc.
The course follows a semester system with a total of 8 semesters. Each year is divided into 2 semesters. The course duration for lateral entry students will be 3 years. The average costs of the course range between 4 to 10 lacs depending upon the college from where you want to pursue the course.

Eligibility Criteria:
The qualification eligibility required for this course is 10+2 passed from a recognized institution. The qualifying examination must be studied with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English.
For PG course, the prescribed qualification is B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from the well-recognized institution.
Admission Procedure
• Students seeking admission in this course have to appear in the entrance exam.
• Admission in undergraduate engineering course is done through JEE Main. It is the national level examination provides entry to NITs, IIITs and many other renowned engineering institutions.
• Admission into IITs, IISc is carried out through JEE Advanced.
• Apart from aforesaid entrance exams, there are various other state level and university level exam conducted every year for facilitating admission.
• Admission process varies from college to college. Some colleges fill their vacant seats on the basis of class 12th merit.

There is a huge demand for qualified and skilled professionals having technical knowledge in this field.
