M. Tech. - High Voltage Engineering stands for Master of Technology in High Voltage Engineering, which is a postgraduate degree program. This course deals with the physical behavior of equipment and systems for production, transmission, the use of electrical energy and the construction of equipment and systems. Under this course, students will do research in some areas such as Design of high voltage power, the study of micro-arrays, development of gene chips, Estimation of over voltage during voltage testing and more. It includes the subjects such as Insulation technology, High voltage switchgear, High voltage generation and management, Power Quality etc.
Through this course, students can enhance their technical and analytical skills. At the same time, they will do training in scientific methodology. Furthermore, students who hold degree of B.E or B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering can apply for this Master degree. After completion of this degree program, they can find many job profiles such as Development and Test Engineer, Engineering Technologist, Design & development Engineer, Manager etc.
