• Rural Management is an area which tries to meet the developmental needs of the country. The study mainly focuses on the planning, organizing, directing, and running of cooperatives, agricultural business and to its associated fields. It is mainly the study of management in the rural environment. 
• A course in rural management includes training in agri-business, rural marketing, NGO management, microfinance, corporate social responsibility management and more.

• Oil seeds cooperatives, milk producers cooperatives; sugar cane producer’s cooperatives etc. absorb rural managers.
• Candidate’shavingdegree in Rural Management can run their own NGOs and thereby directly be associated with rural people.
• One can also get employed in Banks, insurance companies, and other finance institutions.
• Some of the companies who recruit rural managers are Tata Teleservices, Amul, Shriram Group, NABARD and ICICI Bank.
