AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2023-24, Eligibility Criteria, Rewards, Application Form, Last Date

AICTE Saksham Scholarship 2023-24  is M.H.R.D. (Ministry of Human Resource Development) introduced Scheme, which is being carried out by the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.). The aim of this scheme is to provide encouragement and support to specially-abled children who want to pursue technical education. This scheme in general is an attempt to give the opportunity to specially abled children to complete the education and build a successful career. Saksham scholarship is awarded to differently-abled  candidates who are taking admission to AICTE approved Technical Institutions only for Degree/Diploma level Courses. The  reward given is up to Rs. 50,000/- as incidentals each year. 

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Last Date -2023-24 

For interested students, the last date to submit the online application form under AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme has been extended. Now, the students can fill and submit the applications till 31st December 2022. For more information on this, students can visit the official website of AICTE. 

Note - The students must submit their duly filled applications at the particular web portal provided at the AICTE's website. We also advise students to submit their online applications before the due date. If any candidate fails to do so, his/her case will be treated as closed. 

AICTE Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 Eligibility  Criteria

There are certain eligibility criterion  that an applicant must follow or must fall under like - 

• Must be a specially-abled candidate  having a disability of not less than 40%.
• He/she must be admitted to 1st year of the Degree/Diploma Level Courses Or 2nd Year of the Degree/Diploma Level Courses (through lateral entry) in any of the AICTE - Approved institutions, colleges, and universities for the respective year i.e. 2023-24.
• Candidates must have a family income of less than INR 8 Lakhs Per Annum. Candidates who have a family income of more than INR 8 LPA are surely not qualified/eligible for this scheme. 
• In the case of a married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered.

Saksham Schoalrship  Rewards 2023-24  

Distribution of Scholarship Amount: 

• Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less, and Rs.2000/- per month (for 10 months) as incidentals charges each year. 
• In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, Students are eligible to get or will get an amount i.e. Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase such as:- 

Books/ Equipment/ Software/ Laptop/ Desktop/ Vehicle/ Fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/ exam/ specific types of equipment/software for visually impaired/ speech and hearing disabled.

Note - Out of the total scholarship, 15 % are reserved for the SC category, 7.5 % seats are reserved for ST category students and 27 % seats are reserved for OBC category students.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Application Form 2023-24

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Application Form for 2023-24 can be filled by the following steps - 

1. Visit the official website of the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), first and foremost.
2. Click “AICTE Saksham Scholarship Application Form for 2023-24”
3.  Log in through your registered User ID & Password at the AICTE-provided Portal. 
4. Upload the correct documents. The documents required for this scheme are mentioned below - 

DOCUMENT REQUIRED: 

Following are the necessary  documents to be submitted by the candidate applying for saksham Schoalrship.

• Mark Sheet. [of Class 10/12th/or any equivalent as applicable]
• Annual Family Income Certificate for the preceding financial year. [in the prescribed format, issued by not below the rank of Tahsildar]. 
• Disability Certificate. [must be issued by a Competent Authority].
• Admission Letter. [must be issued by the Directorate of Technical Education for admission in Diploma/Degree Course]. 
• Certificate. [issued by the Director/Principal/ Head of the Institute].  

• Tuition Fee Receipt. 

• Aadhar seeded Bank Pass Book – in the name of the candidate, who is applying. [denoting Candidate's Account number, IFSC code, and his/her Photograph]
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Category Candidates. [if applicable].

• Aadhar card. 

Declaration. [must be received from parents duly signed and stating that the information provided by their child is correct and exact. also, stating that they will refund the complete scholarship amount if their child is found false at any stage].

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2023 Last Date

IMPORTANT POINTS: 

• The Document Size must not be more than 2MB and also must be in formats like - 'pdf', 'jpg', or 'jpeg'. 
• All Documents must be legible/clear. If not, then the submitted documents by the candidates will not be considered for reimbursement/refund purposes. 
• Also, before submitting their application, we want candidates to ensure that 

• Promotional Certificate
• Tuition Fee Receipt
• Miscellaneous Fee Receipt, etc

Have to be uploaded in the application form correctly. After submission of the application, no further request will be entertained to upload any leftover/additional documents in support of the claim. 

Some of the Salient Features of the Saksham Schoalrship  are:

• Total Number of Scholarship-1000 per Annum 

(500 for Degree and 500 for Diploma)

• The selection of candidates will be given through merit based  of a qualifying examination to pursue the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE-approved institutions. Seat reservations are the following: 

• 15% for SC, 
• 7.5% for ST 
• and 27% for OBC candidates/applicants.
