The Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India and Indo-US Science Technology Forum (IUSSTF) together welcomes the eligible candidate to apply for Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program 2019. This fellowship provides an opportunity to the best and the brightest student s and scientists so that they can be exposed to world-class research facilities in the top US Institutions. Under Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program 2018 the following things will be included:

• Recognizing climate change, clean and efficient energy and environmental protection concern which is the biggest threat. Both departments of science and technology, Govt of India and IUSSTF are committed to tackling the above-mentioned issues.
• The BASE fellowship program is very energetic and carries extreme exposure in advance research. 
• It has made to create good contacts between students and scientists of India and US. 

Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program Eligibility

• Applicants must be an Indian citizen.
• Must be a PhD in science, engineering or technology.
• Must have proof of research work in internationally known academic journals.
• The application is only for fellowship in the field of Solar Energy.
• Candidate must be in a permanent position of publicly funded R&D Laboratory/S&T institution (non-private)/well-known academic institutions in India.
• Must be 40 years of old as of 31st December 2019.
• The applicant must have a clearance letter from a reputed US scientific/technological institution where he/she is looking for a fellowship.

Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program 2019-20 Details 

• The fellowship will be for a minimum of 3 to 6 months.
• The total number of fellowship is  7.
• The fellowship will include a monthly stipend, return air ticket, contingency allowance.

Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program Includes The Following Research

• Solar Photovoltaics
• Solar Thermal
• Grid Interaction including smart Grids
• Energy Storage
• System Development and Integration
• Any other field related to solar energy.
