Department of Higher Education, Government of India has the authority to regulate the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSS) for College and University Students 2023. The application of this scheme has been inviting Class 12th passed students to make maximum benefits. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the meritorious students who are pursuing graduate and postgraduate level studies. A total of 82000 fresh scholarships (41000 for girls and 41000 for boys) will be available for the eligible candidates. Apply before the last date to get maximum benefits.

Central Sector Scheme (CSS) Of Scholarships 2023 Eligibility

Central Govt Scholarship for college students have basic eligibility conditions which students have to majorly fulfill are as follows: 

• An aspirant must pursue a regular graduate or post-graduate course or professional courses such as medical or engineering from a recognized college/ University.
• A candidate must secure above 80% in the relevant stream in the 12th standard.
• The family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed 6 lacs per annum.
• Candidates receiving any other scholarship cannot apply. 

Central Sector Scheme (CSS) Of Scholarships For College And University Students Rewards 2023

The selected students will receive the following financial assistance:-

• Students pursuing courses at graduation level will get INR 10,000/- per annum for 3 years.
• Those who are pursuing courses at the post-graduation level will receive INR 20,000/- per annum for 2 years.
• In the case of pursuing integrated courses/ 5-years courses, the amount of INR 20,000/- per annum will be provided in the 4th and 5th years.

How To Apply For Central Sector Scheme Application Form

The guidelines regarding the application process of the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students 2023 are as follows:

1. Visit the National Scholarship Portal to register online. 
2. Now, select the scholarship name, scheme type, state of domicile, and fill in details like name, gender, category, DOB, email ID, mobile number, residential address, etc.
3. Also, verify your mobile number through OTP.
4. Fill the rest of the scholarship form and submit it.
5. At last, retain your user ID/application ID for future references.

List of Important Documents Of Central Sector Scholarship

There are a few necessary documents that applicants need to keep ready at the time of applying-

• Bank Passbook issued in the name of the applicant. 
• Aadhaar Card, in case of Aadhaar, is not yet assigned you can also attach enrolment ID, Voter ID, driving license, PAN, passport, etc. 
• Income Certificate. 
• Category/ Caste Certificate if required.
• Intermediate or class12th mark sheet.
