Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship For Economically Backward Class Students Chandigarh 2019 Apply online, Eligibility & Last Date

The Education Department of Chandigarh is offering Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for the EBC students. This scholarship is being granted to all the Economically Backward Class (EBC) students who cannot afford their education. This scholarship is provided from class 11th and above so that students can complete their higher education without any hurdles.

Eligibility Criteria of Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for the EBC Students Chandigarh 2019

• Candidate must belong to SC/ST / OBC or general category.
• Should have permanent residence in Chandigarh.
• Must be pursuing post-matric courses /Postsecondary course.
• Candidate’s whose family income is not more than 1 LAC is eligible for this scholarship
• Must study in a recognized institution /university.
• Candidates, after passing one stage of education and pursuing the same stage of education, is not eligible. For e.g. candidates after passing B.A is pursuing B.com.
• Candidates after passing one educational course in one stream and then pursuing another educational course in different stream For e.g. candidates after passing LLB is now pursuing B.T /B.Ed.is not eligible.
• The students studying PG courses in medicine are eligible only if they are not allowed to practice during their course.
• Only two boys of the same parents /guardians can apply for this scholarship.
• The mentioned above restriction is not for the girl candidates.

Rewards of Post Matric Scholarship of Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for the EBC Students Chandigarh 2019

The following allowances will be given to the EBC students who will be selected for this scholarship-

• Maintenance allowance up to INR 750 per month to hostellers and INR 350 per month today scholar.
• Reader charges INR 175 P/M for blind students.
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
• Study tour charge up to INR 900.
• Thesis typing and printing charges up to INR 1000.

• Certificate issued by director/prin.
• Declaration by the parents.
