Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship For EBC Students 2019-20, Application Form, Last Date, Eligibility

The Education Department of Chandigarh has decided to offer Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for the EBC students. This scholarship is being granted to all the Economical Backward Class (EBC) students who are unfortunate to afford their education. This scholarship is provided at post matriculation or post-secondary level so that students can complete their education without any hurdles. 

Eligibility For Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2019-20

• Candidate must belong to SC/ST / OBC or general category.
• Should have permanent residence of Chandigarh.
• Must be pursuing post matric courses /Postsecondary courses.
• Candidate’s whose family income is not more than 1 LAC is eligible for this scholarship. 
• Must study at a recognized institution /university.
• Candidates, after passing one stage of education and pursuing the same stage of education, are not eligible. For e.g. candidates after passing B.A is pursuing B.com.
• Candidates after passing one educational course in one stream and then pursuing another educational course in different stream For e.g. candidates after passing LLB is now pursuing B.T /B.Ed.is not eligible.
• The students studying PG courses in medicine are eligible only if they are not allowed to practice during their course.
• Only two boys of the same parents /guardian can apply for this scholarship. 
• The mentioned above restriction is not for the girl candidates.

Eligible candidate can apply for this scholarship by following the mentioned steps:

3. Stick all the mandatory documents.
4. Submit the application through their respective institution to the office of Director Higher Education, Additional Deluxe Building, U.T. Sector -9D, Chandigarh, Pin-160009

List Of Required Documents

• Copy of 10th and 12th and other certificates.
• Annual Income Certificate.
• Copy of certificate issued by the relevant authority in case of differently able candidates.
• Copy of Residence Proof.
• Copy of Aadhaar Card.
• Annual Fee details verified by Institute.
• Copy of a bank passbook showing all the required details.
• Certificate issued by the director/principal/head of an institution.
• Declaration by parents.
