Higher Secondary Scholarship for EBC Students is being offered by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat. This scholarship is offered to the students studying at post-matriculation i.e. class 11th and class 12thstudents. The aim of this scholarship is to provide financial support to the economically Backward Class (EBC) for pursuing studies at senior secondary level. This scholarship is available for studies in India only.

Eligibility Criteria For Higher Secondary Scholarship For EBC Students

The eligibility conditions to apply for Higher Secondary Scholarship for EBC 2019 is as follows

• This scholarship will be open to Indian nationals.
• The applicant must belong to the Gujarat state.
• Students of class 11th and class 12th can apply.
• The family annual income of candidates belonging from rural areas should be less than INR 1,20,000 per annum and for urban candidates, the family income must not exceed INR 1, 50,000 per annum.

EBC Scholarship Amount 2020

The scholarship amount is different for hostellers and day scholars. The details regarding the value of scholarship are as follows:

Students who are studying in class 11 will get INR 725 per annum (for hostellers) and the day scholars will get INR 475 per annum.
Those who are in class 12 will get INR 1140 per annum (for hostellers) and the day scholars will get INR 840 per annum.

How To Apply Higher Secondary Scholarship For EBC Application Form

Students can follow these simple steps in order to apply for the scholarship

• Aspiring candidates can apply for the scholarship via online mode only.
• In order to apply online for the scholarship, students can visit the official website.
• Firstly, students have to register themselves by clicking on the “New Registration” button.
• Enter all the required details. All the applicants must fill all the mandatory details carefully.
• After the completion of the registration process, students have to log in to their application form by entering their registered email ID and password.
• Upload the scanned copy of all the requisite documents in the prescribed format.
• At last, submit the application form.
• Don’t forget to take the print of the confirmation page for further references.

• Hostel certificate (for hosteller students)
• Self-attested certificate of academic mark sheet of the previous year
• School/college current year bonafide certificate
• Income certificate
• Self-attested copy of Aadhar card
• Self-attested caste certificate 
• School leaving certificate
• Fee receipt of current course year
• The first page of bank passbook/canceled cheque

Important Dates

The government of Gujarat has already announced the application form for the Higher Secondary Scholarship for EBC 2020. Students can submit their filled-in application form till 31st August 2020

Selection Procedure

Only those students who fulfill all the prescribed eligibility norms will be selected for providing scholarships. However, the selection will be done keeping in view the funds limit decided by the state government for this scholarship scheme.
