University Grants Commission (UGC) under MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) is offering Special Scholarship Scheme Ishan Uday for NER 2021. This scheme is available for the North Eastern domiciled students who have passed the 12th examination. The objective of this scheme is to provide an opportunity for the North East region students to pursue higher education.

Ishan Uday Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Students wishing to apply for Special Scholarship Scheme Ishan Uday or NER Scholarship 2021 can check their eligibility from here:

• A student must be North Eastern Region or NER Scholarship domiciled.
• An applicant must have passed the 12th examination from the schools situated in NER.
• A candidate must have taken admission in general/technical and professional courses including medical or paramedical courses.
• The family annual income of the applicant must not exceed INR 4.5 Lacs.
• Students pursuing diploma courses are not eligible.
• Also, candidates who have secured admission through the management quota cannot apply for this scheme.
• Moreover, candidates pursuing courses through Open Universities are not eligible to apply.

Ishan Uday Scholarship for Northeast Students (NER Scholarship) Rewards 2021-22

Every year, a total of 10,000 students will be selected for the award of scholarship. The students will get the scholarship amount based on their course. Following are the details regarding the value of scholarship:

• The students who are pursuing general degree courses will get INR 5400/- per month.
• Those who are pursuing technical and professional courses (including medical and paramedical courses) will get INR 7800/- per month.
