Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search Junior Scholarship 2020, Eligibility, Last Date & Application Process

Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search Junior Scholarship is offered to science stream students, especially to the under-graduate level. JBNSTS is the most prestigious scholarship which provides aid to fresh minds or people from different walks of life. Under this scheme, various seminars were organized for the exposure, guidance facility and placement programs for the better future. The scholarship is about a talent search examination held by JBNSTS, Kolkata which is an autonomous registered society.

Eligibility Criteria For JBNSTS Junior Scholarship 

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows

• Candidates who have passed 12th standard with science stream by taking at least three subjects from physics/ biology/ chemistry/ math/ comp. science etc in any school within West Bengal is eligible for this scholarship.
• Students who have passed H.S. or equivalent examination in the year 2020 are eligible to apply and those who passed before 2019 are not considered eligible.
• Diploma course students are not eligible, only degree courses students should apply.
• The applicant for junior scholars who have at least 75 % marks in the field of science and passed 10th standard are also eligible.

JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Reward 2020

The prize money of the JBNSTS has different categories; firstly they provide a monthly scholarship of Rs 3000, also offers yearly book grant of Rs 2000. Secondly, they organize academic and career counseling for the pupils. Thirdly, seminars, colloquia, and workshops are also managed for the students for the practice.

How To Apply For JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Form

Steps to apply for this scholarship

• Students may fill the online application form through the official website.
• Application forms also available in JBNSTS Office and you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope worth Rs 10/- only to the mentioned address (1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kolkata- 700107, and West Bengal). Instead of sending hard copy, students necessarily mention JTST on the top of the envelope.
• Read instruction before filling the Application Form.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Students who may apply online, a non-refundable payment of Rs 100/- should be paid through credit card/ debit card or any online sources.

Important Dates

Starting date for submission of the form is ongoing and the important information for the students, that form will be submitted in the second week of July. If you want a seat don’t exceed the timeline. The last date of the Admit Card availability will be 31st August 2020. The examination date of writing test JBNSTS will be Sep 2020

Selection Procedure

• After the examination selection process will be started:
• First and foremost, JBNSTS conducts the interview for the selected students and the date of the interview is 9 & 10 September 2020
• Based on the interview, students may call for the next round, which is a Scientific Creative Test which will be conducted on 13, 14 & 15 October 2020.
• JBNSTS declares final results in the month of November 2020

Mandatory Note

• Xerox of Credentials should be attached along with the Application Form.
• Three recent passport size photographs should be attested.
• Photocopy of admission receipt should be attached, as proof.
